The lovely weather of late has brought people out to explore the delights of Barnard Castle and County Durham. We can see our daffodils poking out of the ground ready to bloom and the grass becoming greener in the fields and everything starts to look neater. Just as well really because the first of the 2013 weddings will be soon.
This year has become really popular for weddings for us. Maybe its our very competitive rates or our all inclusive package which includes everything brides need for a perfect day. We also offer chair covers now from Party On balloon and event hire with bows colour coordinated to the brides theme. This has been a great selling point with brides finding they have money left over in their budget because we have everything covered so that they can afford the little extra and different touches to make their day unique. Bands, fireworks, candy carts all spring to mind as brides try to find services that make their day unique.
Jersey Farm has now become one of the most popular wedding and event venues in the area. Bookings for 2014 are going quickly too as more people find our unique, quirky hotel. Our wedding fayre recently attracted the most number of visitors ever. We also have planned a showcase weekend on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 march from 12 till 4pm.
A showcase is where we set the whole function suite for a wedding as it would be for a wedding, the chairs are covered by Party On and they will put some different table decorations out for people to view. The civil ceremony room is set up too. Brides can view the function room laid out see hotel rooms and facilities and also chat to our Wedding Coordinator Ruth about their special day. So definitely worth a visit on this weekend. The restaurant will be open so you could combine your viewing with something to eat or drink in the bar of the hotel.
Jersey Farm is busy throughout December with Christmas parties. Revelers eat in the carvery restaurant then make their way after the meal to The Barn for a disco until 1.ooam. Tables are reserved in The Barn as per the parties so that no matter what time people arrive there is always a seat together for them.
Many companies, associations or just groups of friends come along to these nights to feast on the best Christmas carvery fayre and celebrate Christmas. A choice of starters, mains from the carvery, desserts from the counter 2nds if you so wish and coffee and mints to follow.
Today saw the Dog Agility Northern area lunch and prize presentation. This is held in The Barn private at lunch time so as to help with those who have to travel a distance. A second carvery is set up in the function suite so that the guests can enjoy as much and what they would like on their plates.
The barn has many uses and at this time of year is taken up with private functions. It doesn't cost as much as you may think to organise a private party or social occasion in the function suite and many different menus can be created. If you are a member of a charitable organisation we can tailor a package to suit your budget and give you free room hire so as your charity can make money from your event.
Jersey Farm function team have ideas about many different functions that can be arranged. Murder Mysteries, race nights, auctions, after dinner speakers, balls in fact any type of event can be expertly handled for you. Drop us an email with your ideas and let is help you.
