The wedding trend at the Jersey Farm Hotel hasn't abated as the venue becomes more popular than ever. Brides from all over the North East of England and further are finding our unique quirky hotel.
Last weekend saw our wedding showcase weekend happen where brides ventured out in the snow to see the Barn function suite all set for a wedding and to get ideas for theirs. Tables were dressed with ideas from Lucy at Party On Balloons and event hire and every table different brides had plenty to look and choose from. All the seats with chair covers had different styles of bows on them to give new ideas.
Jersey Farm doesn't only do large weddings in the separate function suite they can tailor smaller packages to organisers needs. This weekend sees a smaller wedding in the Garden suite with leads out onto the terrace at the front of the hotel. This is a more informal gathering with the food being from the famous carvery.
We can do weddings from a very small number with all food and drinks packages being catered to ones needs.
The lovely weather of late has brought people out to explore the delights of Barnard Castle and County Durham. We can see our daffodils poking out of the ground ready to bloom and the grass becoming greener in the fields and everything starts to look neater. Just as well really because the first of the 2013 weddings will be soon.
This year has become really popular for weddings for us. Maybe its our very competitive rates or our all inclusive package which includes everything brides need for a perfect day. We also offer chair covers now from Party On balloon and event hire with bows colour coordinated to the brides theme. This has been a great selling point with brides finding they have money left over in their budget because we have everything covered so that they can afford the little extra and different touches to make their day unique. Bands, fireworks, candy carts all spring to mind as brides try to find services that make their day unique.
Jersey Farm has now become one of the most popular wedding and event venues in the area. Bookings for 2014 are going quickly too as more people find our unique, quirky hotel. Our wedding fayre recently attracted the most number of visitors ever. We also have planned a showcase weekend on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 march from 12 till 4pm.
A showcase is where we set the whole function suite for a wedding as it would be for a wedding, the chairs are covered by Party On and they will put some different table decorations out for people to view. The civil ceremony room is set up too. Brides can view the function room laid out see hotel rooms and facilities and also chat to our Wedding Coordinator Ruth about their special day. So definitely worth a visit on this weekend. The restaurant will be open so you could combine your viewing with something to eat or drink in the bar of the hotel.
Maybe you didn't know Jersey Farm has it's own racing team with top driver Mad Mark.
Mad Mark Motorsport is based at Jersey Farm hotel where they prepare and run the mighty 500bhp Citroen Xsara super car.
The car is famous and has been featured on TV on Fifth Gear doing a challenge. The car does 0-60mph in 1.9 seconds an astounding acceleration figure that is even quicker from a standing start than a Formula 1 car.
Mark with the Help of Jersey Farm Hotel has had quite a bit of success over the years. He has been 3 times British Open Rallycross Champion as well as Northern Ireland Champion, and twice driver of the year. Sponsorship in the UK has become harder and harder to secure. The budget to run such a car at top level in Britain and Europe is quite high so sponsors are needed to fund the races. As it is harder to get corporate sponsors Mark has set away a scheme for individuals, fans and supporters to help. Mark is trying to get individuals to sponsor him £45 each for this they will see their chosen name displayed on his xsara race car. They will get a souvenir t shirt as well and also be invited to a VIP day to meet team, the car and the driver.
All the terms and conditions can be found on Mark's web www.madmark.co.uk or join his face book page. This is a cost effective way to get your Nam on a top flight racing car as well as get a popular driver back in the British Rallycross Championship.
